The Hawaiian Island Volleyball Festival and Southwest Airlines are flying the top rated referee in the USAV Southern California/Southern Nevada Region to Island Fest!
As the penultimate post-season national event in one of the World’s epicenters of the game, Island fest not just a tournament but an expression of what I means to play ‘Island-style’. Volleyball is a part of the cultural fabric of Hawai’i and one of the biggest points of pride is the quality of officiating. So… we are looking to put the best of the best on the stand!

Island Fest takes great pride in the quality of our tournament officials. Each year we award an official with the Island Fest Best Official award. Hunter Haliniak was voted the 2025 Island Fest Best Official. Hunter is a former University of Hawaiʻi player and a frequent official of high level NCAA matches.
