Island fest as teamed up with Genki Ala Wai Project to help clean the Ala Wai.
Over 200,000 Genki balls have been put into the Ala Wai River that runs just outside the Convention Center.
The bio-dynamic, 100% ORGANIC balls clean HUNDREDS of gallons of water per ball. Through this effort Genki Hawai’i has begun to reclaim the waters of the Ala Wai. Today, native fish species are returning and the toxicity of the water is declining.
We know volleyball players have great arms!
On 6/13 at 7:30 we will gather at the back of the Convention Center to throw Genki Balls into the Ala Wai with a mission of throwing 500 balls into the river.
During the run of the tournament we have a goal of also making 2,500 Genki Balls!
